Our Goals
The Washington Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity
is a statewide coalition of individuals, public and private sector
organizations working
together to promote regular physical activity to enhance
health, fitness and quality of life for the people of Washington
State.
We help communities increase physical activity by:
- Increasing awareness about the benefits of physical
activity and active living.
- Advocating for community environments, which support a way
of life that integrates
physical activity into daily routines.
- Advocating for model programs, policies, laws and regulations
supporting physical activity.
- Sharing research and data on effective interventions with
a wide range of community organizations, including schools,
universities, physicians’ offices, work sites, professional
organizations, and government agencies.

Please let us know how we are doing through the contact button

- Coalition Committees.
The Coalition accomplishes most of its work through its
